Do you need some Therapaws?
We just love sharing our friendship and our mission with anyone who is interested. Members of the group can choose visits during the day, during the evening, during Saturdays or all three! We try to accommodate everyone in our group, from working folks to retirees, depending on their availability. We currently have more than a dozen recurring monthly visits that are scheduled at a variety of locations including nursing homes, memory care units, elementary school reading programs, several hospital units and a local girls home. We have also coordinated occasional visits at the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo, Goodfellow Air Force Base and at special events for Angelo State University and for ADACCV. As a group we are always looking for new places to visit and for new members to join us!
Kathy Tomei and Mary Dee Price have been busy organizing visits for this Therapy Dog club for more than four years.
There are currently 20 Therapy Dog Teams in the group and all teams are Certified through Alliance of Therapy Dogs. The group is open to anyone who would like to join and we welcome new members. The only requirements are that you have a dog that is current on their Certification through Alliance of Therapy Dogs. Some of our members make individual visits and some members visit in groups. We are very willing to help anyone who is new to Therapy Dog visits. If someone wants to attend a few visits with us to see how Therapy Dog visits work, we are more than happy to have them come with us. In the future, if they want to work on their own, that's fine too!
If you are interested in becoming a Certified Therapy Dog Team and would like more information, please contact:

We will be glad to assist you with information, tips and friendship. There are several Therapy Dog programs and we'll be happy to provide you with information to find one that meets your needs. We love working with Alliance of Therapy Dogs and love to bring smiles wherever we go.
